Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer pink grapefruit 

If you have acne and pimples am sure that's why you decided to get the neutrogena Oil Free Acne Moisturizer, I found out about this face Moisturizer when I had terrible cystic Acne especially for someone that rarely had breakout. I have tried other Acne face creams but they only lightened my face even though they actually did help but it didn't stop the breakout.

I have initially used their body lotion that contains salicylic acid and it was so good on my skin but I think they discontinued that particular lotion because I don't see it anywhere even on their website.

The major ingredient that gives this lotion efficiency for acne is salicylic acid. It helps to exfoliate the skin gently getting rid of acne and acne skin. Exfoliating helps to eliminate dead cells, rough and texture on the skin even for sensitive skin. Because of how effective this ingredient is in treating acne companies like Neutrogena now use it in skincare products.

My thoughts and experience using the lotion on my face;

1. The consistency is very light and runny.

2. It is oil free so it absorbs completely in the skin fast.

3. It dries down matte, during the harmattan I had to use oil to mix it before apply because it left my skin very dry and it was uncomfortable but it is a very common side effect of salicylic acid. But now that the harmattan is gone it is the perfect Moisturizer for the hot weather.

4. It doesn't do well if you combine with other Acne treatments so I you want to use this as a face cream you can't use another Acne treatment as it makes the face very sensitive and you would feel burning on your skin. Dor me personally I even had a rash under my eye slightly a over my cheeks.

5. It works slowly but with time you would notice how breakout are less frequent and if they do come it doesn't last for more than a day and it goes without a scar. It works slowly when fading scars but you would notice how healthy your skin feels.

6. It is very tolerable as long as you don't use with other lightening or Acne treatment. The grape scent is tolerable and dies down quickly.

7. If u don't protect my face when am out in the sun I usually get a tan and my under eyes becomes dark normally but I noticed with this lotion its became worse. So a sunscreen is a must when using this.

8. I also notice my face complexion got darker but I wasn't mad at it because I was so grateful at how much my face has improved.

In conclusion would I recommend this lotion? the answer is yes, it did the job of treating my cystic Acne and helping me prevent further breakout. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't use other toning creams to lighten my scars quickly because it burns.
