Welcome back to my blog. Finally i was able to get a proper ring light. Yea!!!! Have you seen my previous post on the portable selfie ring light for phones? You would find it interesting.
The ring light i got is from Ustine 7070 in Abuja Nigeria. I got it after much researching on where and how to find a good and affordable ring light on Instagram ,jiji, jumia, then i came across Ustine 7070's ads on jiji . I was immediately interested because of the price point. It was cheaper than any i saw then.
Incase you know or do not know, ring light makes your photography and videography game better. As a YouTuber and a blogger lighting is very important to take great photos and videos. It creates Emphasis on details because of its circular nature especially as a makeup artist it brings out every details of your makeup application without washing out anything.
My thoughts on the Ustine 7070 18" Led ring light
It came well packaged, It has an outer diameter of 18" and an inner diameter of 14", It can be very bright and it has a knob to adjust the brightness to what you can bear, It very easy to set up and there is a manual inside to guide you, it took me less than 5mins to set up the ring light, It came in a black bag, Inside were 8 filters 4 yellow and 4 white filters, which were protected in an envelope, it also came with an adapter. It is non rechargable and didn't come with a battery so i would need to purchase the batteries separately but i have been using it like that. I just plug the adaptor to power. The stand came in a different rectangular box.
Why i love the ringlight;
1. I can film and take photos anytime of the day even very late at night.
2. It gets really bright and it took me a while to adjust to it but i love it.
3. The detailing it gives my photos and how bright my videos look is amazing.
4. It was very affordable. I got mine for 25,000 naira with the stand and i also bought a phone holder for 3500 naira. The good news is, the price has dropped now to 20,000 naira so hurry up and check them on Instagram @ustine7070nig. This post is not sponsored i love to share information that can help anyone.
5. The stand is very strong and steady.
The only thing i wasn't happy about is the fact that it didn't come with all the accessories from phone holder, mirror, batteries i needed to buy them separately but thank God they sell them too. Also, because of the size of the ring light it is not easy to carry around because i travel alot. I will definitely post on a travel sized ringlight whenever i get one Incase you might not want the 18" ring light.

I struggled in some of my previous YouTube videos because i didn't have a ring light i was improvising by using a led lamp on my rechargable fan and it was unidirectional so it casted shadows on my videos and it didn't bring out the details of my makeup.
So ringlights are very necessary to take quality and detailed videos and photos. Incase you don't have access to natural light ringlights are the best alternative. The circular nature of the light lights up around what you want to capture nicely having in mind that you need a good camera or phone too. I personally use an iPhone and it adjust well to any light setting, plus i can film and edit on my iPhone for free.
