Today's post is about hair. Every black woman with type 4c hair understands the struggle to find a good gel or edge control to lay down their edges or do a sleek down pony tail. Girl!!! I understand. I struggled to find a good gel or edge control for my hair. My 4c hair is very coarse so most gels don't work well with my hair type. It's just like me applying water on my hair whether my hair is relaxed or natural although some tried but lasted for only an hour before my hair would start to curl up again.
One day, on YouTube i saw someone use the gorilla snot gel to lay down her edges, she had coarse type 4c natural hair too and it layed down her edges and lasted for 2days. I was immediately interested in trying out the gel. My hair now is relaxed. I have used the gel to do a sleek down hairstyle, to lay my edges, my sister's edges and my mum's too and my mum’s hair is natural. It held well am so glad that at last i have finally found a gel that works well for my hair type and doesn’t turn white after application. Am in love with the gorilla snot gel. One thing to note though is to always make sure your hair is moisturized because it can be drying to the hair and scalp to avoid breakage. If you want to remove the gel simply just rinse with water or you can wash your hair incase you did a sleek down pony tail.
