I trust you all are doing good. Today i would be writing about what a lot of people ask me whenever i say my package just arrived from Aliexpress. Two frequent questions i am mostly asked are:
1. How trust worthy is Aliexpress?
2. Do i always get what i ordered exactly as described?
So i decided to write about shopping on Aliexpress.
The first thing to do is to go on google and search for the Aliexpress website or you can download the app on your phone from google play store or app store if you are an iPhone user. The app is easy and simple to use and records of your activities on the site can be easy accessed by you. Then you would be asked to creat an account either with your email or Facebook. Do remember to choose Nigeria as your country of residence this is very important to view the prices in naira then you can enjoy everything that aliexpress has to offer, the mobile interface would look like this
The picture above is how your cart should look like then you can select the items you want to order at that time and pay with your credit card or pay pal account. If you haven't set up your payment account you can still do it at this stage then proceed to place your order. Your order will start processing normally product would be shipped atleast within a week of placing your order.
If you choose the free shipping option like i always do or you pay for shipping it would take atleast a month or at most 2 months to arrive Nigeria. You can start to track your item with the tracking number you are given. Aliexpress does not ship to your doorstep it would be sent to the post office nearest to you based on the address you provided so be very correct with your address. You would be called from the post office when it arrives. At the post office you would be asked to pay depending on the weight but you won't be charged much. That's it!
To answer the questions i listed before, Aliexpress comprises of different sellers and not all of them can be trusted so i advice everyone to always read reviews from people who ordered from Nigeria and to make sure the seller has atleast 3 star ranking. Aliexpress delivers products as described on the store but take time to look at the picture or video if available properly, take not of size, colour etc. In a case where the product sent was not what you ordered or the product never arrived, you can open a dispute and return the product. Your money would be sent back to you.

In the picture above you can see categories to choose from, feature brands, my stores, fan zones, products display influenced by your searches, menu icon ( picture below) here you can access your account, send messages, add shipping address view your profile etc.

At this stage what i do and advice is to look for brands or stores that have atleast 3 star ranking, secondly when you select a product read reviews about the product from people that bought from Nigeria. If you are satisfied with the reviews and you have confirmed from the reviews that they brand or store indeed delivers to Nigeria safely, you can then add to cart and continue shopping or you can just buy the item you want.
